Hippie Shop’s owners are dedicated to spreading good vibes and making hippies happy everywhere. It’s all about bringing fellow music fans, family & friends the products they love at the lowest prices possible. 

Speaking of love, the idea for Hippie Shop came from a dream to do something for a living that they both loved to do. They started out by selling their wares on the road traveling the country while following jam bands like the Grateful Dead and Phish. 

Then in 1995 they decided to take a leap and open a small shop in their hometown. After all, what would be better then creating a business that keeps the spirit of the 1960’s alive. Little did they know it wouldn’t be so easy, starting out they had to do every thing from scratch with no money and no experience. 

Then just as they opened their doors for business the unimaginable happened. The world lost one of its greatest musical inspirations, Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. It was the end of an era, business started to slow down. They both thought that this could also be the end of their dream; instead it was just the beginning journey. 

It must have been a classic eureka moment when they decided to take grasp of a new way of doing business, they bought a computer, ventured online, registered the name HippieShop.com and learned how to build a web site. Through years of persistence and hard work they finally turned their dream in to a successful business. 

Over the last decade HippieShop.com has delivered it’s unique products to thousands of satisfied customers all over the world. With all that they have gained they also love to give back. Every year the local community is rewarded with free concerts and events that raise funds for charity. Their business plan is simple!
